Incredible dental practice I’m absolutely over the moon with my transformation! My teeth look incredible, and I couldn’t be happier. For years I felt nervous, anxious, and worried about my smile. It took me a long time to build up the courage to start this journey. Meeting Gareth changed everything. From the very first appointment, he was kind, considerate, and patient. He explained all my options clearly, always offering his expert advice while making sure I felt comfortable and confident with every decision. One of the things I really appreciated was the chance to try a temporary smile for 3 weeks before committing to my permanent teeth – it gave me complete peace of mind and made sure I was 100% happy with the final result. Looking back, I wish I could have told myself not to worry so much. The whole process was seamless, and the support from the entire dental team was amazing. Gareth is a true perfectionist, but also so warm and caring that all your nerves just melt away. The whole team are so warm and caring. Gentle, caring and always ensures procedures and outcomes are fully explained.  Every member of the Riley Dental Studio provides exceedingly high levels of expertise. I previously had 40 years of fearing “the dentist” Jamie explains “the nuts and bolts” of any issues and puts you totaly at ease. Just joined the Riley Dental Studio and am already confident that it was the right decision for me. Very friendly and professional staff giving a high level of care, everything fully explained to me throughout leaving me confident that I’m in good hands. Rather than generic dentistry, I feel like they’re always looking at the bigger picture, looking ahead with a structured plan tailored around me. Can’t speak highly enough of this practice. I’m sadly petrified of the dentists but had to use a fair few private dentists in the past. This place is heads and shoulders above them all. Within a week I’ve had a consult, 3D Scan and pictures of my mouth, discussions on a treatment plan and two front chipped teeth fixed - all with a reasonable cost. So, I went for my filling today and to say I’m petrified would be a gross understatement. I have to say, I didn’t feel a thing from start to finish. And, when the anaesthetic wore off I still had no pain, it’s like I’ve never been to the dentist.  Everyone knows I’m scared, today and every time I visit the practice, I’m always looked after so well. If anyone is considering joining this practice, please do. They are absolutely wonderful. I could not recommend this dental practice enough. if anyone is looking for a highly professional and reputable dentist - this is your place. I have been a patient here now with my partner and Grandmother for the past 6 years and I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else. Gareth and his team are absolutely fantastic at what they do and are always so welcoming and informative with any dental work being done. My grandmother is 90 and is always made to feel so comfortable and is very well looked after during her appointments and I have recently visited with my 4 year old daughter too who smiled from start to finish. I’m a new patient to this practice, and the experience so far is dentistry at its best. Efficient and friendly reception staff within a spotless, modern environment. The most recent technology is used to visually highlight what treatment is required, which is put in a written plan. I received a local  anaesthetic using “Wand” technology for pain free treatment, and no swollen mouth afterwards. Amazing as always! I’ve been registered with Gareth and the team since the Practice opened. I have nothing but praise for the Practice. I used to be terrified of going to the Dentist (from previous treatment and experience), but not anymore! Gareth and the team always put me at ease and I look forward to seeing them.  The Practice is always spotless and I feel safe (given the current COVID-19 pandemic). Today, I’ve had treatment completed for a crown and the team went to the effort, without me asking to move my hygienist appointment and crown fitting together to save me coming back later in the day.  Incredibly thoughtful, and greatly appreciated. Gareth always reassures me (putting me at ease) and tells me what he’s going to do.  Helen offers amazing support and reassurance during treatment. The hygienist and dental nurse I saw today were kind, professional and informative. I first visited The Riley Dental Studio for a free Invisalign consultation back in December 2020. From that appointment I knew I wanted Gareth to be the one to help give me the smile I have always wanted. I started my treatment in January 2021. I felt safe throughout with strict rules and guidance in place for Covid 19. All staff were friendly and always helpful. I have just completed my treatment of Invisalign with composite bonding to two teeth. The composite bonding was completely pain free. I am so pleased with the results and wish I had done this years ago. The whole process felt easy and I've had so many compliments on my teeth. I will continue to see Gareth as my regular dentist now as if I ever needed any additional treatment I would want this done by Gareth. Stacey was also brilliant when I needed the attachments applying and changing. I can't thank the team at The Riley Dental Studio enough. I first started to attend The Riley Dental Centre after a friends recommendation in around  2015. She had had two front crowns done by Gareth and they were the best I had ever seen in terms of fit and colour. I am an extremely nervous patient after having dental work done in the 1980’s where the dentists were brutal and your fillings were all silver. Gareth is a lovely person who puts you at ease immediately and is extremely patient. In 2018/19 I had an old ill fitting bridge removed by Gareth and replaced with another bridge and crown at a cost of around £2500. On the original paperwork (not subsequent second set) I received Gareth stipulated that he would remove the old bridge and then leave a temporary fitting to allow the gums to heal. I still have both sets of paperwork containing this plan. However, this never happened and the new bridge was fitted immediately. Whether this was a factor in the following issues I am unsure but I am sorry to say that I have had nothing but trouble with this since. Following the fitting I repeatedly went back to Gareth who was extremely patient and kept adjusting the bite but to no avail. I then had numerous appointments with the hygienist to try and remedy the issue as the bridge caused extreme sensitivity to the wisdom tooth it was attached to. I was shown how to use interdental brushes to clean under the false tooth area of the bridge. This was at a cost of £45 per time. I am meticulous when it comes to cleaning my teeth and I followed  these instructions to the letter. Additionally with regards to the crown there was a slight gap between the gum and tooth which happened as the gum healed. This shows a a dark line (? metal) that I was never entirely happy with. The colour match was perfect though and I decided it was something I would have to live with along with the sensitivity in the back tooth. My trust still intact and because other treatments had been problem free shortly afterwards I attended an open night at The Riley Dental Studio to discuss the possibility of implants to replace missing teeth with a new dentist to the practice. My heart sank when I realised this new dentist was a Mr Popat who I had the misfortune to meet in the early 90’s when he was an NHS dentist and not quite as attentive. He appeared not to remember me and proceeded to quote me £7500 for three implants but more significantly he looked at the X-rays of the bridge and the wisdom tooth and informed me that ‘this tooth is very poorly’. I left the surgery and cried all the way home. I called Gareth the next day and explained to the receptionist what had happened and asked for a call back to discuss this ASAP. I had no response following this call. I decided to seek the opinion of another dentist who informed me that the gap under the bridge was 5 mm wide and therefore this was causing the issues with the pain. Unfortunately lockdown happened shortly after this and if I’m honest I did not want to return to The Riley Dental Studio anyway. When you attend the dentist you feel extremely vulnerable and due to my high anxiety levels when there I always felt I could not express myself articulately. Since lockdown restrictions have eased I have since sought a second independent opinion from another dentist who has informed me that there is now an infection around the aforementioned tooth due to the gap and that the bridge needs to be removed along with the tooth. I am realistic and experienced enough to understand that dental work does not last forever but I expected it to last a few years longer than this and to at least be pain free. In fairness to The Riley Dental Studio I never made a formal complaint at the time which I regret but I do feel that this review is an accurate account of my experience regarding this treatment.
